            Owner and operator of James OĠDonnell Remodeling Co. Full service Residential and Commercial Remodeling Construction.  Contractors License 438329  B-1

 

Projects include: Remodeling Design and Drafting, Commercial Remodeling, New Homes, Room Additions, Interior Remodeling, Exterior Remodeling, Kitchen and Bath Remodeling and Design, Window and Door Replacement, Siding installation - including Vinyl, Hardiplank, Wood., Seismic Retrofitting, Concrete work,  Decking and railing installations, Insurance restoration work, Water leak detection and repair, Repair services and Construction Consulting Services.

 

Since 1983, as Owner of James OĠDonnell Company, I have successfully managed, worked on and completed over 600 construction projects of various size and difficulty.

           

1974 - 1983

Worked for Various Contractors. 

Areas of responsibility:  Hiring and training of employees. 

Project estimating and scheduling.  

Foreman of framing and concrete crews for custom residential and commercial projects. Hire and work with Sub-Contractors.

Framing and finish carpentry.

Patching and repair work.

Layout and installation of electrical and plumbing work.

Layout, forming, pouring and finishing of concrete foundations and slabs.

 

1971 - 1974

Military service.  US Navy.  Trained in Damage Control, Welding and Pipefitting.  Attended Welding School, Damage Control School, NBC Warfare Training and various fire fighting, shoring and construction courses. 

Duties included: Welding of aluminum, steel, stainless steel and high pressure steam lines, Maintenance of ships damage control systems, Installation, maintenance and repair of ships plumbing systems.  Had special firefighting training for pilot extraction and aircraft fires.  Viet Nam service 1972.

 

1968 - 1971

Worked part time for Tom Michaud Construction as a Laborer and Carpenters Helper.

Worked part time Carpenters Rexall Drugstore as a Stock Person and Delivery Driver

* Attended Cuesta College taking and completing various courses in business and  construction

* Attended Cal Poly extended education taking and completing various courses in construction, business and management.

* Navy Damage Control and Firefighting School

* Attended and completed numerous courses and seminars on Estimating, CPM Scheduling, Construction Management, Computer and Website Design training, Construction codes
